Training institutes promise jobs, certificates and live projects. Some deliver; some only sell. Use this checklist before you sign up.
1. Read the course outline line by line
Ask for the full syllabus with hours per topic. Compare it with two or three job descriptions for the role you want. If important tools are missing, the course will not make you job-ready.
2. Meet the trainer
Ask how many years the trainer has worked in the industry, not just taught. A short conversation tells you a lot.
3. Question placement claims
- How many students joined the last batch, and how many were placed?
- In which companies and at what roles?
- Is “placement assistance” just a list of job links?
4. Look for real projects
You should finish with work you can show: a portfolio, a GitHub profile, a case study. A certificate alone rarely gets an interview.
5. Check reviews carefully
Read recent reviews on more than one platform and look for detailed ones. A wall of identical five-star reviews posted in the same week is a warning sign.
6. Get everything in writing
Fees, instalments, refund policy, batch timing and certificate details should all be on the receipt or agreement.
Tip: attend one demo class and one regular class. The difference between them tells you what the course will really be like.
